The reasons, in detail
1. You choose who enters your home
We don't send whoever happens to be free. Tell us your preferences — language, gender, age, experience, temperament — and we shortlist the four best matches from our pool. Not right? We send four more, and keep going until you're satisfied. You can speak to each before deciding. You stay in full control of who is in your home. A home caregiver who suits your family is far more likely to stay.
2. Trained and verified before day one
Every Mitra caregiver completes our training and passes identity, police, document and previous-employer checks before they start. That's the risk of hiring on your own, taken off your shoulders.
3. Their salary goes to them, not to an agency
Your caregiver works for your family and you pay their salary directly. Mitra charges a separate, fixed fee for managing the care. You see both numbers upfront, nothing is cut from their pay — and well-paid caregivers stay longer.
4. The better way to hire on your own
Hiring a caregiver directly is more affordable — but only if you know someone who can refer a good person. Mitra is that referral, with the oversight, records and replacement support you would never get hiring alone. Companies with full-time staff can cost upwards of ₹38,000 a month, often with doctor consultations charged extra and other hidden costs. With Mitra you pay the caregiver's salary plus one fixed, upfront fee — doctor check-ins included.
5. Flexibility a company won't give you
Companies with full-time staff don't allow their caregivers to help with anything beyond patient care. With Mitra, your caregiver works for you — so if they are willing and you agree it before hiring, they can help with other tasks around the house for extra pay agreed between you. One person, instead of separate help for everything.
Available with Essential Care (Level 1) caregivers. Household tasks are a private arrangement between your family and the caregiver: they are outside Mitra's scope of work, not verified or supervised by Mitra, and patient care always comes first._
6. A doctor keeps watch, at no extra cost
A doctor check-in every two weeks is included in every caregiving plan. The doctor reviews the care record, speaks with you and updates the care plan.
7. No equipment to buy
We provide the monitoring kit — BP monitor, glucometer, pulse oximeter and more — for the full duration of care, and collect it when care ends.
8. MiTrack: the whole picture in one place
CareTrack records daily care and vitals. LabTrack holds every lab result — we upload your report and enter every value for you. Readings outside normal limits are flagged, and the history shows exactly when something started to change.
9. More care, one provider
Add lab tests at home through our partner labs and physiotherapy at home through our partner physiotherapists — with results and progress in the same MiTrack record. Available in selected pincodes; shown when you add your address.
10. If it doesn't work out, we replace them
Not happy with your caregiver? You get two free replacements for the duration of your plan. If a caregiver abandons the job, we replace them every time, at no cost. The care plan and MiTrack history mean the new caregiver doesn't start from zero.
11. ₹0 to book, one fixed fee
Booking costs nothing. Once you've chosen your caregiver, you pay Mitra a one-time fee for the full plan, in advance, before care starts — no monthly charges from Mitra during the plan. Plans run for 1, 3 or 6 months, for 12-hour or 24-hour care.
12. Your data stays yours
Used only for your loved one's care. Never sold, never used commercially. Withdraw consent any time and we stop processing and sharing it.

Frequently asked questions
Who employs the caregiver?
Your family does. You pay their monthly salary directly. Mitra manages the care — selection, training, verification, the care plan, monitoring equipment, MiTrack, doctor check-ins and replacements.
What does Mitra's fee cover?
The assessment call, four caregiver profiles, verification, the care plan, the monitoring kit for the duration of care, CareTrack, a doctor check-in every two weeks, caregiver retraining, and replacements during your plan.
What if I don't like any of the four profiles?
We send four more, and keep going until you find someone you're comfortable with. The first four are our best matches for your preferences — not your only options.
Can the caregiver help with household work?
With Essential Care (Level 1) caregivers, yes — if the caregiver is willing and you agree it with them before hiring, for extra pay agreed between you. This is a private arrangement between your family and the caregiver. It is outside Mitra's scope: we do not verify, supervise or take responsibility for household tasks, and patient care always comes first.
How many replacements do I get?
Two free replacements for the duration of your plan if you are not happy with the caregiver. If a caregiver abandons the job, we replace them every time, at no cost.
When do I pay Mitra?
Only after you've chosen your caregiver. You then pay a one-time fee for the plan, in advance, before care starts. Your caregiver's monthly salary is separate and paid directly to them.
Do I need to buy any equipment?
No. We provide the monitoring kit for the full duration of care and collect it when care ends. Glucometer strips and everyday consumables are arranged by the family.
How does LabTrack work?
When you test through Mitra, we upload a copy of the report and enter every value — test, result, unit, normal range and date — so you can see trends over time without doing anything yourself.
Is a caregiver the same as a nurse?
No. Caregivers help with daily living — bathing, feeding, mobility, positioning, medicines as prescribed and monitoring. For care needing nursing skills we match a caregiver at a higher care level; our team will tell you which level fits during the call.
What if my loved one's condition gets worse?
Readings outside normal limits are flagged in MiTrack, and the doctor review picks up changes. Mitra does not replace emergency care — in an emergency, call 112 or go to the nearest hospital.
Which areas do you serve?
Home caregiving is available across Bangalore. Lab collection and physiotherapy are available in selected pincodes and expanding; the services available at your address are shown when you add it during booking.
What happens to my data?
It is used only for your loved one's care, shared only with your family, your Mitra care team and the doctors involved, and never sold or used commercially. You can withdraw consent at any time.
What happens when my plan ends?
You can renew to keep Mitra's support — doctor check-ins, MiTrack, equipment and replacement cover — with the same caregiver, with no retraining or new setup.
